Planning a private party at a restaurant can feel like a lot of moving pieces. You need a room that fits your group, food that actually impresses people, and staff who treat your guests like they matter. We've been doing this in Bergen County for over 30 years, and the party packages at Portobello Feasts Restaurant are built around making that process straightforward for you. Here's what you need to know before you book.
Everything You Need to Know About Our Private Party Packages
We offer several package formats, each designed around a different group size, budget, and style of service. Some families want a generous spread from the first moment guests sit down. Others prefer a focused, plated experience. The sections below walk through each option so you can match the right format to your group before you ever pick up the phone.
How Many Guests Do You Need?
Party packages at Portobello Feasts require a minimum of 30 adults. Smaller groups are welcome as a reservation, with the option to pre-select up to three entrées so guests aren't left guessing. For groups of 30 or more, the full package formats open up, each built around a different style of service and dining experience.
Which Package Format Is Right for Your Group?
The right format depends on how your guests like to eat together. The Cucina Package, starting at 30 adults, is our most focused option. It includes a garden or Caesar salad, pasta with vodka or marinara sauce, and a choice of chicken francese, veal saltimbocca, or filet of sole francese, with an optional New York sirloin strip steak upgrade. The format is clean and straightforward, with fresh fruit, optional pastries, coffee, soda, and tea rounding out the meal.

The Sala Package, also for 30 adults, opens the meal up considerably. A full hot antipasto spread covers fried calamari, garlic shrimp, mussels marinara, clams oreganata and casino, eggplant rollatini, and stuffed mushrooms. Cold selections add provolone, pepperoni, roasted red peppers, and marinated mushrooms before guests move into pasta, salad, and entrées. It's a social, generous format built for groups that want to share from the start.
The Family Style Package, for 30 or more, gives you a cold display with two selections from smoked salmon, seafood salad, string bean and provolone salad, or hummus with pita, followed by four entrées and one pasta. Choices include chicken marsala, crab stuffed filet of sole, scampi, filet mignon tips marsala, eggplant rolatini or parmigiana, and sausage and peppers.

For daytime gatherings of 30 or more, the Sit Down Lunch and Lunch Family Style Packages are available Monday through Sunday with start times between 11:30 AM and 1:00 PM. The Sit Down covers pasta, salad, and four entrée choices. The Lunch Family Style adds bruschetta, tomato focaccia, roasted potatoes, and mixed vegetables.
Bar Options and What They Cover
Bar packages are available separately and can be layered onto any format. We offer a premium open bar in three and four-hour durations, unlimited beer and wine packages, and individual options like house wine by the glass or bottle, domestic and imported beer, and specialty stations including champagne punch bowls, mimosas, and bellinis.
A bartender is required for open bar and tab bar setups. If your group prefers something lower key, a cash bar is also available.
Dinner Hours at the Restaurant
Dinner service runs Monday through Thursday from 4:00 to 10:00 PM, Friday and Saturday until 11:00 PM, and Sunday from noon through 9:00 PM. Late afternoon and early evening starts tend to work well for private groups, giving your guests time to settle in before the dining room fills up around them.
Whether you're planning a birthday dinner, an anniversary lunch, a baby shower, a corporate gathering, or something that doesn't fit neatly into a category, we've hosted it here. Bergen County families and businesses have been coming back to Portobello Feasts for decades because the food and the service hold up event after event.
Conclusion
The kitchen puts the same care into a private party for 30 as it does on a full Saturday night. We'd like the chance to show you the same.
